I am a Mobile Complementary Therapist and Reflexologist, working within a 5 mile radius of my home in Caterham, Surrey, which includes areas such as Caterham, Chaldon, Old Coulsdon, Purley, Redhill, Reigate, Godstone, Warlingham and Woldingham (click here for full list of areas I cover).
Your treatment takes place within the peace and comfort of your own home, enabling you to enjoy the feeling of relaxation and wellbeing and allowing you to rest afterwards, giving you the chance to enjoy all the benefits of the therapy. As I bring everything I need with me, all you need to do is provide a warm and peaceful space, and then enjoy the relaxation... with no need for you to drive home afterwards! If you live too far away for me to travel to you, I also have some Virtual treatments such as Distance Reiki which you can find by clicking on the Reiki and Virtual Therapies tab at the top of this page. Every treatment is tailored to you as an individual and within the context of your own lifestyle and health - I will always consult with you beforehand to allow me to help address any changes in either.
"Alison has been my lovely reflexologist for over 7 years. As I have various health issues, she is always keen to chat to me before my treatment starts to ask how I am feeling and to ascertain how my treatment should be focused. I find reflexology superbly relaxing and it also improves the way I feel both physically and mentally!”
Jacqui (Selsdon)
What is Complementary Therapy?
Complementary Therapy is not an alternative to medical advice, and as a Complementary Therapist I will always respect and work alongside any advice given to you by your medical practitioner. Treatments are holistic, working on the whole person in mind, body and spirit, and can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children through to the elderly. The whole person is supported rather than treating a particular illness or condition. We treat people, not conditions! It is said that 75% of patients visiting their GP surgery are suffering with stress or stress-related illnesses, so there is great benefit to be gained by pursuing deep relaxation in the form of therapies such as Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Reiki. As your mind and body relaxes, you may feel a sense of well-being and balance, which can have a beneficial effect in many ways. But each individual person will experience their own benefits, as we are all individuals. A full consultation is an integral part of any initial treatment, to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you, and also that it is tailored specifically for you, so I always allow extra time for this within your appointment. Professionally qualified and accredited therapists never diagnose or claim to cure, and would always refer you to your GP if appropriate.
"Alison has been my Reflexologist for 9 years and she puts me at ease as soon as she arrives. Her professionalism is outstanding and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to feel a better sense of wellbeing."

About Me
My interest in Complementary Therapies grew from around 2001, after studying for a couple of beauty qualifications at evening classes whilst working in an entirely different field. Since then, I have achieved professional qualifications in many different Complementary Therapies, and have not stopped learning since!
Fully qualified in Holistic Reflexology, Massage and Indian Head Massage with ITEC and VTCT certification, I am also a Reiki Master. I also have further qualifications in many areas including Advanced Reflexology techniques to support people in their Fertility and Maternity journey and pre-conceptual care for couples about to start trying for a family and Crystal Reflexology. I also love to further my background knowledge when I can so I also have Level 2 qualifications in Nutrition and Health and Counselling Skills.
I am a fully qualified teacher and Assessor with QTLS status and for several years I taught the ITEC Reflexology Diploma, ITEC Massage Diploma and ITEC and City and Guilds Indian Head Massage Diploma at Sutton College (all fully accredited professional classroom-based courses). I also taught many workshops including Fertility and Maternity Reflexology, Hand Reflexology, Relaxation and Stress Reduction techniques.
I have considerable experience providing therapies to support the elderly, people receiving palliative care and also people living with cancer. I also regularly provide relaxing massage and reflexology for adults with autism and learning disabilities as well as providing Wellbeing Therapies for corporate and public sector clients.
As a fully qualified Reflexologist I have been a member of The Association of Reflexologists and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council for many years and am fully insured for all my therapies with The British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC). Each of these organisations check the validity and certification of every member before allowing them to join, which is extremely important for you to know you are choosing a fully trained and professionally qualified therapist!
The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council quality mark which I display alongside my Reflexology practice demonstrates that I comply with the UK government standards for safe and competent practice. The CNHC fully check the validity of members’ qualifications and require a high standard of conduct, ethics and safety from members. They exist to protect the public by ensuring that therapists on their register are trained to a high standard. They will not admit therapists who have trained online over a weekend!
